The Vocational Skills Certificate Entry 3 course is designed to equip you with the essential knowledge and skills needed for success in both personal and professional life. This course fosters personal growth, social development, and vocational competence, ensuring you are well-prepared for the demands of the workplace and everyday life.
Throughout the course, you will engage in a variety of vocational sessions conducted in realistic working environments. These sessions cover key topics such as health and safety, teamwork, interview techniques, workplace preparation, and professional conduct. Each vocational area is explored intensively over six weeks, providing you with hands-on experience and practical skills across multiple fields.
In addition to vocational training, the course emphasizes the development of independence, supporting your personal, social, and emotional growth. You will learn practical life skills such as budgeting, household management, personal health and well-being, and effective communication. This holistic approach ensures you are not only prepared for the workplace but also equipped to manage various aspects of daily life with confidence and competence.
Additionally, Functional Skills in English and Maths are integrated into the course, helping you build the essential literacy and numeracy skills needed for both employment and further education.
During this course, you will participate in a variety of engaging vocational sessions, offered through a dynamic carousel of learning experiences. These sessions, conducted in realistic environments, provide hands-on training and practical knowledge relevant to a wide range of fields. You will participate in a carousel of the vocational sessions by covering each session for 6 weeks before moving on to the next session.

There are no formal entry qualifications for the Vocational Skills Certificate Entry 3 course. However, your English and Maths will be assessed via initial assessments and prior achievement.
The Vocational Skills Certificate Entry 3 course will take you 1 year to complete. You will attend college for 3 days per week at our Rochford Campus in Boston.
Please note that the 15 hours of work experience will be completed on an extra day alongside the days attending college.

You will be assessed by practical and theoretical activities that are showcased via a portfolio of work.
Successful completion of this course can lead onto a Level 1 course at the College.
