The Level 2 Diploma in Travel and Tourism course is designed to equip you with a broad range of skills and knowledge for success in the world’s largest and most dynamic industry. It prepares you for a rewarding career across a wide variety of roles in travel and tourism, including customer service, hospitality, travel agencies, and tour operations.
This course blends engaging theoretical lessons with hands-on practical experience. Benefit from educational visits to popular tourist attractions and key industry venues, giving you valuable insight into real-world operations and helping you build confidence and understanding in a professional setting.

You will also undertake a work placement alongside your studies at the College, and have the opportunity to complete the qualification in Earth Week – Tackling the Climate Emergency Level 2.
In addition to your course, you may also study either GCSE or Functional Skills English and Maths, dependent on your current GCSE grade.
To study the Travel and Tourism Diploma Level 2, you will need to have 4 GCSEs at grade 3 or above (old GCSE grade D or above) or equivalent, including English and Maths.
The Travel and Tourism Diploma Level 2 will take you 1 year to complete. You will attend college from 9:00am-4:30pm for 4 days per week at our Rochford Campus in Boston.
The Travel and Tourism Diploma Level 2 is free, if you are under the age of 19 on 31 August of the year you start the course.
If you are aged 19+, this course will cost £1500.

You will be assessed via a portfolio of evidence.
Upon completing the Travel and Tourism Diploma Level 2, you can progress onto a Level 3 Travel and Tourism qualification. This course also opens doors to a range of exciting career opportunities within the travel and tourism industry, including roles in travel agencies, tour operations, customer service, and hospitality. It provides a solid foundation for further study or direct entry into the dynamic and growing travel sector.
