The Motorcycle Maintenance Diploma Level 3 course is designed to equip students with the expertise needed to diagnose and rectify complex faults in motorcycle systems. Building upon the knowledge and practical experience gained in the Motorcycle Maintenance Certificate Level 2 course, this qualification focuses on Advanced Diagnostics, Repairs, and Maintenance Techniques, preparing students for real-world industry challenges.
Unlike a traditional training course, this course is structured to simulate an actual motorcycle workshop environment, providing hands-on experience that mirrors everyday industry practices. Students will develop problem-solving skills, technical proficiency, and an in-depth understanding of modern motorcycle systems, making them highly employable.
This qualification has been developed in collaboration with the Institute of the Motor Industry (IMI), ensuring it meets industry standards. Upon completion, students will be well-prepared for employment in motorcycle dealerships, service centres, or even self-employment as Professional Motorcycle Technicians.

To study Motorcycle Maintenance Diploma Level 3 you will need to have 5 GCSEs at grade 4 or above (old GCSE grade C or above) or equivalent, including English and Maths.
The Motorcycle Maintenance Diploma Level 3 will take you 2 years to complete. You will attend college from 9:00am-4:30pm for 3-4 days per week at our Rochford Campus in Boston, plus independent study.
The Motorcycle Maintenance Diploma Level 3 is free, if you are under the age of 19 on 31 August of the year you start the course.
If you are aged 19+, this course will cost ยฃ7172.

You will be assessed via practical assessments, theory assessments, and a portfolio of evidence.
Successful completion of the Motorcycle Maintenance Diploma Level 3 opens up a range of opportunities for Further Education and employment. Students can progress onto higher-level training in Automotive and Engineering subjects, including specialised Apprenticeships that enhance their skills and industry knowledge. This qualification also prepares students for direct entry into the motorcycle maintenance sector, enabling them to pursue careers in motorcycle dealerships, service centres, repair workshops, or even self-employment as Professional Motorcycle Technicians.
