The VTCT Level 3 Diploma in Hairdressing is designed to enhance your creative skills and technical knowledge through advanced hairdressing techniques. The course covers a wide range of topics including creative styling, cutting, and colouring of hair, as well as colour correction and men's haircutting. You will also develop your ability to consult with clients professionally and evaluate your creative work effectively.
This qualification aims to refine your practical skills while encouraging artistic expression, preparing you for a successful career in the hairdressing industry or progression tonto further training and roles within the hairdressing industry.

In addition to your course, you may also study either GCSE or Functional Skills English and Maths, dependent on your current GCSE grade.
To study the Hairdressing Diploma Level 3, you will need to have a Level 2 qualification in Hairdressing and and/or a successful skills test and interview.
The Hairdressing Diploma Level 3 will take you 1 year to complete. You will attend college from 9:00am-4:30pm for at least 2 days per week at our Rochford Campus in Boston, plus independent study.
The Hairdressing Diploma Level 3 is free, if you are under the age of 19 on 31 August of the year you start the course.
If you are aged 19+, this course will cost £3345.

You will be assessed via practical assessments on clients, written assignments, a portfolio, oral questioning, and exams.
Successful completion of the Hairdressing Diploma Level 3 will equip you with the essential skills, knowledge, and confidence to pursue a career in the hairdressing industry. This qualification will enable you to become eligible as a State Registered Hairdresser (SRH) with The Hair Council, and prepare you for employment as a Senior Hairdressing or Stylist,. You will be able to work in a variety of settings, including salons, media and entertainment, the Armed Forces, HM Prison Service, Cruise Liners, Hospitals, Care Homes, and self-employment.
