Emergency First Aid at Work Award Level 3
Where a workplace first aid risk assessment identifies a need for an emergency First Aider in the Workplace, this one-day Level 3 Award in Emergency First Aid qualification meets the requirements of the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981, and provides you with the knowledge and skills to take on the responsibilities of a First Aider in the workplace.
What will I do?
During the Emergency First Aid at Work Award Level 3 course, the topics you will cover include the following:
- Legislation around First Aid
- What first aid is and the responsibilities of a first aider
- Action to take in an emergency
- Primary survey
- Secondary assessment
- The respiratory system
- Resuscitation and AED
- Disorders of Respiration
- Disorders of circulation
- Wounds and bleeding
- Seizures
- Minor burns and scalds
- Foreign objects
Entry Qualifications
There are no formal entry qualifications for the Emergency First Aid at Work Award Level 3 course.
Attendance
The Emergency First Aid at Work Award Level 3 course will take you one day to complete, 9:00am - 4:30pm at our Horncastle Campus on Wednesday 23rd April 2025.
Fees
The Emergency First Aid at Work Award Level 3 course costs ยฃ110 per person.
How Will I Be Assessed
Practical skills are evaluated throughout the day, leading to a comprehensive final assessment where learners work independently to apply life-saving procedures across a range of simulated incidents and casualty complexities.
Where Could It Lead?
Completion of this Level 3 course will equip the learner with the skills/knowledge needed to progress in the workplace. On completion learners could progress to completing Unit 2 and being awarded the FAA First Aid at Work qualification Level 5.
