The Crime and Deviance A Level Pathway offers a comprehensive exploration of criminal behaviour through Sociology, Psychology, and Law. This combination provides a well-rounded understanding of the causes, impacts, and legal responses to crime, equipping you with critical thinking, analytical, and research skills essential for further study or careers in criminology, forensic psychology, law enforcement, or legal advocacy.
In A Level Sociology, you will examine social structures, cultural influences, and key theories such as strain and labelling theory to understand crime’s societal context. A Level Psychology delves into criminal behaviour’s psychological aspects, including cognitive processes, personality disorders, and forensic case studies. A Level Law provides insight into the legal system, covering criminal law, justice procedures, and sentencing.
By integrating these perspectives, this pathway enables you to critically assess crime and deviance, preparing you to contribute meaningfully to crime prevention and the justice system.
A Level Sociology:

The Crime and Deviance A Level Pathway will take you 2 years to complete. You will attend college for 4 days per week at our Rochford Campus in Boston.
The Crime and Deviance A Level Pathway is free, if you are under the age of 19 on 31 August of the year you start the course.

Successful completion of the Crime and Deviance A Level Pathway will give you the skills and knowledge to progress on to the next step of your academic journey.
