The Level 1 Certificate in Construction Skills (Electrical) course is ideal for those looking to start a career in the electrical industry. You will gain essential skills and foundational knowledge that will prepare you to progress to Level 2 and Level 3 Electrical Installation qualifications.
Training will take place in our on-site workshop, designed to simulate a real working environment. This hands-on experience ensures you develop the practical abilities and confidence needed to succeed in the trade.
In addition to your course, you may also study either GCSE or Functional Skills English and Maths, dependent on your current GCSE grade.
To study the Construction Skills (Electrical) Certificate Level 1, you will need to have GCSEs at grade 3 or above (old GCSE grade D or above) or equivalent, in English and Maths.
The Construction Skills (Electrical) Certificate Level 1will take you 1 year to complete. You will attend college from 9:00am-4:30pm for a maximum of 4 days per week at our Rochford Campus in Boston, plus independent study.
The Construction Skills (Electrical) Certificate Level 1 is free, if you are under the age of 19 on 31 August of the year you start the course.
If you are aged 19+, this course will cost £1500.

You will be assessed via a practical assessments, assignments, and a portfolio of electrical installation tasks.
Upon successfully completing the Construction Skills (Electrical) Certificate Level 1, students will be prepared to take the next step in their careers by progressing onto the Electrical Installations (Building and Structures) Diploma Level 2.
