Beauty Therapy Massage Diploma Level 3
Add to ShortlistThe VTCT Level 3 Diploma in Beauty Therapy Massage will provide you with the knowledge, understanding and skills to work competently as an advanced beauty therapist specialising in massage.
This course will enhance your skills to National Occupational Standards enabling you to perform salon services professionally and meet industry standards. You will also gain knowledge in client consultation, hygiene, and business awareness, ensuring you are well-prepared for employment.
Upon successful completion, you will have the opportunity to progress onto a Level 4 Beauty Therapy qualification for advanced skills development or enter the industry as a Beauty Therapist in a salon, spa, or as a self-employed beauty professional.
What will I do?
During the course, you will cover topics including:
- Monitoring Procedures to Safety Control Work Operations
- Contribute to the Planning and Implementation of Promotional Activities
- Provide Body Massage Treatments
- Provide Indian Head Massage Treatments
- Massage Using Pre-blended Aromatherapy Oils
- Provide Stone Therapy Treatments
- Provide Facial Electrical Treatments
You will also undertake 30 hours of work experience alongside your studies at the College and have the opportunity to complete the below qualifications:
- Earth Week โ Tackling the Climate Emergency Level 3
- Preparing to Run a Hair and Beauty Business Award Level 2
In addition to your course, you may also study either GCSE or Functional Skills English and Maths, dependent on your current GCSE grade.
Entry Qualifications
To study the Beauty Therapy Massage Diploma Level 3, you will need to have a Level 2 qualification in Beauty Therapy and and/or a successful skills test and interview.
Attendance
The Beauty Therapy Massage Diploma Level 3 will take you 1 year to complete. You will attend college from 9:00am-4:30pm for at least 2 days per week at our Spalding Campus, plus independent study.
Fees
The Beauty Therapy Massage Diploma Level 3 is free, if you are under the age of 19 on 31 August of the year you start the course.
If you are aged 19+, this course will cost ยฃ3345.

How Will I Be Assessed
You will be assessed via practical assessments on clients, work-based evidence, coursework, presentations, and exams.
Where Could It Lead?
Successful completion of the Beauty Therapy Massage Diploma Level 3 will equip you with the essential skills, knowledge, and confidence to pursue a career in the beauty therapy industry. This qualification will prepare you for employment as a Beauty Therapist, enable you to join a professional association, and gain insurance as a Beauty Therapist. You will be able to work in a variety of settings, including beauty salons, destination and days spas, and self-employment.
