The Art, Design and Media Award Level 1 is for you if you are interested in a course that covers the whole range of the Creative Arts industries. This course will allow you to try your hand at practical skills in the Creative Arts and Media sectors, including art, craft and design, creative media, photography, and video production. You will develop your knowledge of different careers within these industries, what the jobs involve, and the different pathways you may want to take to achieve your career aims. The breadth of this course will enable you to experience a wide range of different pathways, giving you the confidence to progress to further education on your chosen pathway.

This course has been designed specifically to develop practical skills and knowledge across of the Creative Arts and Media sectors, giving you the chance to experience a 'taster' of all sectors before progressing onto a pathway of your choice. You will study 2 units covering the different practices of art, craft & design, photography and video production. An introduction to employment is available alongside the career pathways needed to get to the creative career of your choice.

As a Creative, Cultural and Business student, you will have access to all our Art, Design and Media facilities, which include two art studios, ceramics and pottery studio (including kiln), photography studio and darkroom, and a television studio. You will also be using industry standard software.
