The Animal Management HND Top-up Level 5 is a progression route from the Animal Management (Animal Behaviour and Welfare) HNC Level 4.

In order to study the Animal Management (Animal Behaviour and Welfare) HND Top-up Level 5, you will need to have successfully completed:

  • A level 4 qualification in Animal Studies/Management
  • GCSEs in Maths, English and Science at grade 4 (C) or its equivalent
  • The ability to demonstrate meaningful work experience

Please note that individual cases will be considered.

The Animal Management (Animal Behaviour and Welfare) HND Top-up Level 5 will take you 1 year to complete. You will attend college for 2 days per week at our Rochford Campus in Boston, plus independent study. There may also be 1 evening session, but the day would start later than usual.

The Animal Management (Animal Behaviour and Welfare) HND Top-up Level 5 will cost £7100.

Assessment is via course work which includes essays, reports, practical observations and presentations.

The assessment of Pearson's Higher National qualifications are criterion-referenced and you will provide evidence in the form of assignments, which are assessed against the unit learning outcomes and assessment criteria.

The Pearson HND courses are highly valued by employers and can lead to careers specialisms. Progression onto an undergraduate degree or further professional qualifications in a related area are possible.

Additional costs include purchasing pens, paper, course specific materials and pay for educational and non-educational visits. There are a number of educational visits arranged which you are encouraged to attend at a minimal cost, usually around £50.
