This 18th Edition (City and Guilds) Level 3 Requirements for Electrical Installations (2382) qualification is primarily aimed at practising electricians with relevant experience and other allied professionals e.g. surveyors, consultants and other trades needing to update and enhance their understanding of the IET Wiring Regulations.

What will I do?

Areas covered within the 18th Edition (City & Guilds 2382-22) include a review of the scope, object and fundamental principles of BS 7671:2018, Electrical definitions, protection requirements for electrical safety, selecting and erection of equipment, electrical inspection and testing, using BS 7671:2018 appendices, energy efficiency, protection against fire - installation of arc fault detection devices, protection against transient over voltage.

There are no formal entry qualifications for the 18th Edition (City & Guilds 2382-22).

However, this qualification is aimed at practising electricians with relevant experience and other allied professionals e.g. surveyors, consultants and other trades needing to update and enhance their understanding of IEE Wiring Regulations. Individuals without this experience should seek to undertake appropriate qualifications and experience before undertaking this qualification.

Please note that there is a maximum amount of places of 15 on this course.

The 18th Edition (City & Guilds 2382-22) course will take you four sessions over four days to complete at our Boston Campus (Rochford).

The first 3 days of the 18th Edition (City & Guilds 2382-22) course will be taught sessions, 9:30am - 4:00pm. With the final day of the course being your examination, 9:30am - 11:30am.

This course will cost ยฃ510 per person.

Please note that all fees are subject to change.

You will be assessed via a two hour online, multiple-choice, open book exam on the 4th day (subject to availability of exam equipment).

Progression routes from this course include studying at HE Level, or progressing directly into employment.
