Join us at the newly refurbished Sam Newsom Centre for a day of celebration and FREE workshops on Saturday 11th November 2017, ending in an evening gig featuring Kings & Bears, London African Drummers, Boston College Performing Arts students and many more. 
 

 
​ WORKSHOPS
 
If you love music or performance​ and want to have a go, we are running FREE workshops on Saturday 11th November 2017 covering everything from music production to breakdancing. We have everything you need, simply register and we will do the rest – it could be the start of a new hobby or even help you decide on your future career! 
 
Each ​FREE workshop will run two sessions, both taking place at the Sam Newsom Centre.

Morning session 
10:00am - 12:00pm
For those aged 14-16 years old 
 
Afternoon session
1:00pm - 3:00pm
For those aged 17 years and over 
 
Places are limited, so don't forget to book today!

DJing
 
You will learn how to DJ, mix tracks and scratch using the latest DJ technology.
 

 
Music Production
 
You will learn how to produce a track from start to finish using top-of-the-range production equipment. 
 
 
 
​African Drumming
 
You will learn traditional African​ drumming and dance from talented individuals who have worked alongside JP Cooper, and performed on 'Strictly Come Dancing'
 
 
​Breakdancing

You will learn the authentic techniques and foundations of breakdancing and other street dance styles from industry professionals, 'Just4Funk Productions' who have performed on Sky 1's 'Got to Dance' and at Glastonbury Festival. 
 
 

 *Please note, places are limited for each workshop. Confirmation of your workshop place will be sent via email once your booking information have been received​.

THE GIG
In the evening, past and present students from Boston College will be closing our celebration day with a gig in the Centre’s impressive auditorium. Tickets are limited for this event so make sure you register your details as soon as possible.

The gig will run from 6.00pm - 10.00pm, with doors opening at 5.00pm (under 16s will need to be accompanied by an adult aged 18 and over).​​

We have 40 FREE pairs of tickets to give away, and all you have to do to be in with a chance of winning is simply register your details​ by clicking the link below.
The closing date for registration​ is Friday 27th October. 40 names will then be picked at random, we'll then be in touch on Monday 30th October to let you know if you are one of the lucky 40 to win!
