If you're passionate about drama, dance, singing, stage craft, acting and music theatre, the studying performing arts at Boston College is the course for you.
You'll be taught by expert lecturers that have worked in the industry, and even performed in the Royal Variety Show. You'll learn and be assessed through practical projects and performances, and will get real experience of showcasing your talents in shows and productions open to the general public, including the Cultural Festival of Arts, the annual pantomime, the murder mystery event, plus various stage plays, musicals and variety shows.
Performing Arts students also have access to all of our facilities at the recently refurbished Peter Paine Performance Centre
which include a dedicated dance studio, practice rooms and performance spaces.
And, to ensure you have the experience to be successful in the industry, you'll have the opportunity to meet West End actors, take part in an improvisation workshop and show with Boom Chicago, meet agents and access opportunities to progress in to the entertainment industry, participate in national dance competitions alongside industry professionals, go on a 3 day trip to Amsterdam, and possibly even visit Cyprus on an international work experience tour.
Due to high demand we now offer theatre examinations with the International Dance Teachers’ Association (IDTA). Boston College now has its own Dance Academy
and specialist subjects are taught in Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Street Dance and Musical Theatre.
Current students have successfully participated in Musical Theatre Examinations and 100% pass rate was achieved.
